An engaged audience of entrepreneurs and business leaders from the Bryan-College Station, Texas community gathered in Historic Downtown Bryan on Wednesday July 12th to hear Dr. David Flint introduce his V-REEL Framework for strategy formulation. David offered a bit of background on the genesis of the concept and how it took shape over the last twenty years before walking through each aspect of V-REEL.
Value, Rareness, Eroding factors, Enabling factors, and Longevity are all considerations David prompts businesses, individuals and innovators to think about as they work to shape future plans. He acknowledged that the framework requires time and effort and promised it’s a worthwhile investment that could very well prevent costly mistakes.
Audiences members, including representatives from Bryan’s Innovation Underground, Texas A&M University’s Center for New Ventures & Entrepreneurship, area entrepreneurs, and business leaders asked insightful questions and offered great feedback about the potential for V-REEL to support strategic thinking. The evening marked the beginning of a speaking tour David plans to undertake over the next several months in anticipation of his forthcoming book, Think Beyond Value.
